was formed in September 1982 in Växjö, and is a nonprofit society with the mission of promoting family history research in the county of Kronoberg.
Interest in genealogy has grown over the years and the number of members in the society, currently amounts to approx 1900.
The society is connected to The Federation of Swedish Genealogical Societies.

Database
We have a database of birth marriage and death books from the parishes in the county of Kronoberg. There are almost 100 parishes in the county. We now have 1.500.000 records in the database.
CD KGF Databas 2013
In november 2009 the new Database CD named CD KGF Databas 2010 were released.
The database is for sale on CD-ROM if you are a member of KGF. Please contact us for
further information.

are looking for, such as names, years, parishes, etc.
Please note the following:
- The database includes only the parishes of Kronoberg county in Småland.
- The database is not on the Internet.
If we find what you ask for, we request a payment of 50 SEK (Swedish kronor), plus
postage (the payment can be made with 10 International Reply Coupons). If we cannot
help you, it costs nothing! Abbreviations used in the database are F for Births; V for
Marriages; D for Deaths.
